Naturalist Notes from Ranger Gretch

A big shout-out to all of our guests who visited during the month of October : Especially for our Montessori school from Georgia, new friends Saxon and Madison, and for all of our visiting school groups. It was a truly spectacular array of fall colors this year.  The mast crop is good this autumn so hopefully that will aide in the survivability of Whitetail deer, wild turkeys and gray squirrels.

November will continue to be a marvelous time in which to visit Virginia’s Natural Bridge as many of the deciduous trees are hanging onto their leaves and color, the water levels are beautifully full and wildlife is on the go!  Please continue to monitor our facebook and web home pages as we anticipate a winter of special events :  Caroling in the caverns during December, Winter Wellness Weekend the first weekend in February,  March and April Spring Wildflower bike excursions and much, much more !  Peace.
