Natural Bridge Toy Museum
Natural Bridge Virginia is a fantastic place to visit for Virginia Getaways and fun Vacations in Virginia as it is home to one of the world's most interesting attractions,
The Natural Bridge and the Natural Bridge Caverns.
Many visitors do not realize that Natural Bridge Virginia is also home to the largest collection of childhood toys and memorabilia housed inside the Natural Bridge Toy Museum. On display are more than 45,000 different toys in thousands of different collections that span almost 300 years.
The Toy Museum will be open daily through November 30, 2012.
Inside the Toy Museum visitors can see various games, toys, and
childhood relics that date all the way back to 1740, as the Toy
Museum has on display two dolls made in England in 1740 that
were played with during the Colonial period and American
Revolution in Savannah Georgia. Visiting the Toy Museum in
Lexington VA is a fun and educational experience and collection
enthusiasts like to see the toy train displays, neat action
figures including 1st edition GI Joes, Star Trek and Star Wars
toys, pre-WWII mechanical toys, and toys from pre-1900 and newly
created toy robots. Tours of the Toy Museum in Lexington, VA are
self-guided and generally last about 45 minutes for most guests.
