Natural Bridge Park Welcomes the Annual Monacan Nation Fall Festival

Natural Bridge, VA: The weekend of September 19-21 over 20 Native American nations will convene at Natural Bridge for their annual Monacan Nation Fall Festival.

“Fall festival is a chance for Native American Indian nations to come together and share their culture and historical significance with the general public. It’s an awakening of mind, body, and soul full of fun and excitement.”, Victoria Ferguson Monacan Indian spokesperson.

The general public is invited to spend the weekend visiting with some of the finest Native American craftspeople, artisans, and musicians from around the country. There will be lots of regalia (Native American tribal dress), drumming, primitive cooking, demonstrations, storytelling, and even a bonfire dance at night fall.

“We expect around 20 or so nations will be represented and around 1000 people in attendance not including the general public. The Fall Festival will kick off with a student day on Friday and the general public is invited to stay at the hotel and experience the Fall Festival fun Saturday and Sunday.”
